RUTHIN FLOWER SHOW SPECIAL EVENTS

"A Different Show Every Year"
|

Due to the fact that the Ruthin Show is to follow a different format in 2008 it
was decided to cancel the 2007 Ruthin Show.
The 120th Annual Ruthin Flower Show
and Grand Carnival will take place on 19th July, 2008.
Social Events and the Open Garden Competitions will continue during the present
year.

Among the special events at the 2006 Ruthin Flower
Show and Grand Carnival, held on Saturday 19th August 2006 at Cae
Ddol in Ruthin were two magic shows by magician Marie Caldwell, as seen
on TV, at 12.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. Marie also ran Children's
Magic Workshops - with children being invited to perform and receive a
certificate and magicians wand in recognition.
There was also be Chidren's Circus Workshops, with children again being invited
to perform their newly learnt skills in the arena.
Other events in 2006 included:

- A display by the Local Cadet Group
- Display of Marching Bands
- Parade of Classic and Vintage Cars and Bikes
- Performances by Bands and Entertainers
- Display by the local Quilting Association

Additionally there was the usual large Horticultural Show. The Ruthin
Show boasts an excellent Craft Fair with many exhibitors, last year again including
many stalls along with a display by the local Quilting Association.
There was a Vintage and Classic Car Show, Shetland Pony Competitions, stalls of
all descriptions, a Barrel Organ, Bands, Majorettes, Food, Parades, Competitions
and lots of entertainment for all ages.
